Raquel González: From Basketball Player to WWE Champion

Raquel González began her wrestling career in 2016, training under WWE Hall of Famer Booker T.

Before wrestling, González played collegiate basketball at Texas A&M University-Kingsville.

She signed with WWE in 2017 and spent time in their developmental brand, NXT.

González made her NXT television debut in 2019, aligning herself with Dakota Kai as a dominant tag team.

In 2020, González won the first-ever Women's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament with Kai.

González won the NXT Women's Championship in 2021, defeating Io Shirai at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver.

González has been praised for her size, athleticism, and intensity in the ring, with many considering her a future star in WWE.
